Celeste is a brilliant, nine-year-old girl who was repeatedly sexually assaulted in a Hampton City elementary school for a period of two school years. Her assaults started when she was five, her family found out when she was seven, and the fight to get Celeste the help and supports that Hampton City Schools has refused to give has gone on for the last two years. Celeste is now nine and the marathon continues to make sure that those who failed to protect her provide what she needs to be her best self going forward. Hampton City Schools and by extension, the City of Hampton, accept no responsibility for keeping Celeste safe when under their care. Let's mobilize all around and give support to Celeste - support that HCS fails to give.
